What do governors do?
The Governing Body, which includes parents, staff and members of the local community, has responsibility for the running of the school. This is delegated on a day-to-day basis to the Headteacher and staff team. The Governors are responsible for monitoring the work of the school and planning its future development.
Our Governance Structure:
The Full Governing Body meets approximately seven times throughout the academic year. We have several established committees. These comprise: Pay and Performance Committee, Pay and Performance Appeals Committee, First Committee and Second Committee. All our Committees operate according to Terms of Reference which are agreed annually by the Full Governing Body.
How can you contact the governors?
Governors are always pleased to hear views or comments from families. Letters can be sent, marked for the Chair of Governors, via the school office. Alternatively, you can email them to: clerk@instow-cps.devon.sch.uk
