  Thank you to all our lovely bookworms who have supported our book fair! We sold over £380 worth of brilliant books which means the school will be able to select some new books for free!

  

• Cross Country League

  Well done to Freddie, Alex, Thalia and Abbie who represented Instow at the first race of the Gliddon and Squire Cross Country League on Sunday at Kingsley School. If you are interested in joining our occasional Sunday morning Cross Country League please speak to Mrs Tuohey or Miss Graves. There are key events throughout the winter and spring months.   Book Week

  We are celebrating a love of reading by joining in with Appledore Book Festival Week and the Scholastic Book Fair will be in the hall from Wednesday 17th September - Tuesday 23rd September. Come along and have a look at the books that are for sale.

  In addition we are welcoming visiting librarians and illustrators, as well as some classes visiting Barnstaple Library.

  On Friday 19th September we are holding a 'Big Read', so please come along and read to your child and groups of children for the first hour of the day! Why not bring along your favourite book to tell children about it?

   

• Scarecrow Success!

  Wonderful success again this year at the North Devon Show, held in August!

  We received 186 votes for our 'Strawasaurus' created by the Saltmarsh Family! Well done Thalia and Jack!

  Thank you to everybody who kept their scarecrows alive between May and July; they made a wonderful display!

  BJ's Value House kindly sponsored the competition and our school has been awarded £100 worth of vouchers from BJ's, which will be used to develop and enhance our garden and outdoor areas.

  Thank you to the Grayling children for accepting the trophy, certificate and award on the our behalf!
